- Procurement Services International (PSI-Japan) was formed in 1981 by 2 Americans living in Japan. Our mission was to obtain Japanese Government tender announcements, translate them into English, then make the tenders available electronically "the same day" to foreign businesses and governments. This information was available for the first time under the Tokyo round of GATT negotiations.
- Over the years, PSI's products and services have grown, but our goal remained the same: acquisition and dissemination of information on an international level. In 1989, we began processing U.S. tender notices subject to GATT, which led to the formation of PSI-USA.
- In 1996, PSI-USA became the U.S. Sales Agent for The Office for Official Publications of European Communities, to sell CD-ROM and diskette data published by them. The list of titles grows continually and currently includes 42 publications dealing with economy, trade, statistics, agriculture, and research and development.
